Ben Folds

Josh and I went to the Ben Folds concert last night! We met up with my best friend from college (gf, or known as Jill to other people...) and Mike. It was so fun! Josh and I got a late start because I suddenly hated all my clothes, none of which I felt were suited to go to a concert in. So we stopped by Kelsey's, and she let me borrow some clothes...needless to say she's AMAZING! So then we drove an hour to Deer Valley, and it was held at a ski resort. There was a big hill, we put our blankets on the hill, and played games and ate 'til our friends came and then saw our concert!!

Ben Folds is a very talented musician. He is kinda a weird lyricist and has a raw voice, BUT he is the kind of musician that wakes up with amazing music in his head. He wrote the music for the Utah Symphony, to play back up to his songs. He conducted the audience at one point, and Josh and I sang along.

My favorite part was when Josh whispered the songs in my ear. Romantic, I know :) I enjoyed it because it was a surprise for Josh! Fun times.
