I'd rather die, thanks anyway for the info!

So I just finished the book, "Life As We Knew It." It terrified me. It's about this family in the modern era who is living normally until one day when an asteroid hits the moon, and it ends up out of orbit, closer to earth so lots of bad things start happening: ocean tides become so strong it wipes out coasts with tsnaumis and such. Then, volcanoes start erupting and earthquakes because of the strong moon gravitational pull. As a result, gas prices rocket and then eventually they run out. Grocery stores are ransacked. People carry guns and shoot people for food. People die, there are lots of epidemics. It is incredibly sad. I only kept reading it because she had a great family and they all stayed alive and I was hoping they'd pull through.

Well. They do. And they run out of food but the city hall gives them some every week. Well, awesomely enough THAT'S WHEN THE BOOK ENDS. Not, "We heard on the news that everything will be back to normal" but "Some people say it will go back to normal by May other people say it will get worse. My family is alive, we have food. THE END. It's like they could've stopped the book in the middle. The plot just went on and the climax came and....came...and NEVER GOT RESOLVED!!!!!!

I'm so depressed. I need to spend my life savings at Emergency Essentials tomorrow.

  1. Haha I like how you want to spend your life savings on emergency supplies :). That does sound scary! It's amazing what humans can do sometimes when in those situations.
