4th time

I think that in one month, someone has either asked us when we are going to have kids or commented on the fact that we have been married almost 2 years and don't have any kids yet, 4 times. Maybe 5. I've lost track.

Josh and I usually just laugh and say you are not the first person that has asked us, or you and a billion other people are wondering that.

We think it's funny because maybe at BYU we really are a wonder. Married almost 2 years, no kids? But to the rest of the world, no one would even blink an eye.

What a funny little place we live in.

  1. So true. Come out here to Boston and even within the church no one would find that out of the ordinary. We are in the same boat (no kids, married almost 2 years) and I kind of expected some of that, but since we moved out here shortly after being married we haven't gotten it at all. So excited to have kids some day but just not today :D

  2. Sometimes I think that people just don't know what to say. It is never a good idea to ask someone that unless you are really close to them. It never stops. After you have a one year old people begin asking when you are having the next one...

  3. I almost asked you what your baby plans were when we were Facebooking last week :). Glad I didn't!

  4. You know what's funny about your post? Here, all I get is, "You have 3 kids?! Wow, you have your hands full! Are you done, finally?"

Besides the rudeness of it, you'd think people would just let other people make their own decisions!

  5. So I'm just a blog stalker, but I have to comment on this...we used to get that all the time, we didn't have our baby until we were married almost 4 years! One lady wouldn't leave us alone about it, so my hubby finally told her that we weren't sure we were doing it right and if she could please show us how we were supposed to make a baby. it was hilarious!
