Flashback...
January--May was a challenging time for us. I was working full-time, and Josh was taking care of Nolan full-time and looking for work. It got to be discouraging, he did not get anything for 5 months. At the time, we felt the Lord has abandoned us. Lo and behold, he had not! I remember in March, I had been back at work from maternity leave for 1 month and hated leaving Nolan, and was feeling overwhelmed with life. In the middle of teaching a lesson to my class, I heard this distinct voice, "The Lord will take care of you." I looked around but none of my students had said it and they were just looking back at me. I had to fight back tears of gratitude while I continued the lesson. Now, I see the wisdom of his plan for us. If Josh had gotten a job, we would have to hire someone to watch Nolan. He got a job 1 week after school ended. I learned a tremendous lesson about faith. It is impossible to see the future so you HAVE to trust the Lord, and things will be even better than okay, they will turn out terrific.
End of flashback...
Josh has been interviewing for a medical salesman job at BD, a medical device company. He is now one of 2 candidates left for this job. We are praying. We will see if this is the right thing for us. If he got it, we would move to Portland. We will keep you posted!
We had a great trip in Arizona! Nolan went on his first plane ride! He did great and people were SO helpful. Thank heavens for nice grandmas!!
We have had fun spending time with family & friends. Nolan loves the summer--walks and swimming!
He can now roll over from back to front easily! He rolled over from front to back at 4 months old. Now that he can roll both ways, he's rolling all over the floor!! We are going to have to babyproof our house soon!! It is so cute to watch him get more wiggly and more mobile every day. We will try to video it!
Now for some pictures!

Our friend, Nicole, who lives in Chicago, was visiting. She held both her baby (left) and Nolan (right). I love that he's smiling at her. :) |
