This is how it has gotten. Haha. I got books and movies and we planned the date for weeks. The day we finally decided to potty train Nolan, boom. Bennett has to go to the hospital. Ok, January, take 2. We try potty training again.
I do it on a Friday Josh has off so he can take care of Bennett. We put a portable potty in the middle of the floor. He plays. We give him juice and help him go every time. First day was rough. He peed everywhere, we were both exhausted. Second day, he did much better. We even got out to the park and no accidents!!
But, fast forward 3 weeks later, he is still having accidents! Argh. Mostly at home. In his room. One time he peed during dinner and we didn't even notice, haha.
So, I decided to bribe him, hence the meme above.
Someone gave him a stegosaurus piggy bank. We told him every time he went pee, he could put a penny in the "piggy" bank. Every time he had an accident, he had to take one out. For the first time in a month, he tells me he needs to go and holds it until we are on the potty.
Yay!!
I told him when he earns 100 pennies, we will go to the store. It's adding up very quickly! We are so proud of him.
He still has a little ways to go. Plus, he can't always pull undies and pants down by himself, wipe very well, pull them back on, or wash his hands by himself.
I wanted to include a picture of him but my mom said it might incriminate him later. So i guess this post will have to be it. :)
