Baby Hungry Husbands

Yesterday, Josh and I were sitting in Sunday School, enjoying the lesson, when a lady I visit teach with 2 adorable children (one 2 years old, one 4 monthes), comes up to me and asks me urgently if I could take her baby for a while because she had to run around to Primary and Young Women's for the meeting. I told her I would love to and I coddled that cute newbie in my arms. I only could cherish that moment for about a second because I heard Josh say, "Can I hold him?" And it bothers me when moms dominate their babies and don't let their husbands hold them enough. Even though this wasn't OUR baby obviously, I thought I should practice what I preach.

So I handed him over. I NEVER GOT HIM BACK (til Relief Society) :) Josh held him, and then put him right to sleep!! Everyone commented on how he must have the "touch" . Needless to say, I was "touched" by his gentleness, and his adoration of this baby. I fell in love with him again in that moment.

While he was holding him, he said to me, "Let's have a baby." I laughed and said, "I didn't know husbands could get baby hungry!"

We went to dinner at a couple's house, and later another couple joined us. After talking for a while, all 3 husbands had decided on a pact to start trying to have children, starting now! The baby hungry husband leader asked, "Who's in?" All 3 husbands raise their hands. None of the wives. The men laughed and said, "Well, can you promise at least you'll support us?" We all laughed.

I have never had a better time with baby hungry husbands. I love mine.

That's why I included some dad and baby pictures.
