So I've always wanted Josh to be the kind of husband to bring me flowers when I'm sad. And I tease him about it, but he has never really been that kind of guy.
But.
Today, Josh picked me up after school and I could barely make it to the car before I burst into tears. Josh comforted me, and then took me home. He came back from class early to be with me. Then when he got home, he helped me do the dishes, make dinner and clean up dinner .He let me be completely quiet during dinner as I was reflecting on my horrible day. Then, he and I made cookies (well he made them) and watched a movie we've been wanting to watch. He usually has a study group on Thursday nights. He told me he'd stay home with me tonight since I was so sad. I didn't ask him to. Don't worry parents, he's going to make it up next week with 2 sessions.
Completely wonderful husband.
No, he's not the bring-you-flowers kind of husband. Only the give-you-love-and-time-and-treat-you-like-a-queen-when-you're-sad kind of husband.
If you ask me, I'm pretty happy with it.
I definitely married the right person.
Yes, you did.
ReplyDeleteAw! Yes, that is a good kind of wonderful. :)
