Happy 1st Birthday, Nolan!

Can you believe it? It's been one year since Nolan was born!

Wow, he has changed our life so much.

I remember, one year ago, today, when they were done with the c-section and they whisked him away to the NICU, I asked Josh, who had seen him, "Does he look weird? Does he have a weird body? What does he look like?" And Josh said, "He's beautiful, Amy. Nothing to worry about."

I remember visiting the NICU in anticipation of when the doctors would say we could take him home.

I remember holding him in my arms and watching him reach up his little hands to tear off the cords.

We have loved watching him grow, from lying in our arms and sleeping to running into our arms. From being 4 lb 7 oz to 23 lbs. From having a sprinkling of hair to an-almost mullet.

Happy Birthday, baby Nolan!

I know I have a collage up there, but here are some of my other favorites from his 1st year of life:
The first time I saw him.

We had a little party for him yesterday with friends.

Of course, there was a HUGE snowstorm.

And of course, an hour before the party, Nolan had a 100 degree fever.

Luckily, we still had some friends show. It meant a lot to us that they came!
