It has been a very eventful month; very up and down. First of all, on Sunday, we took Bennett to the ER in the morning. We think he inhaled some of his milk, and he had a really hard time breathing. They did a viral test, it came back negative. They did a x ray, they didn't think they could see any liquid, though they said they saw a little mucus in left lung and analectisis. They gave him a breathing treatment, weaned him back to 1/8 liter and sent us home. Any ER visit that does not end in being admitted into the hospital, is a pretty decent ER visit! We are grateful to God that it wasn't worse, and that they were able to wean him back down, and for my dad who took Nolan to church with him. Also, we are grateful it happened on Sunday so Josh and I could be there together.
Then, at his pulmonologist appointment later that week, the doctor said his lungs sounded great and she wanted to wean him off oxygen during the day! So he only has to have oxygen at night! It is soooooo amazing to be able to carry him around without the oxygen. I feel like I am on this high, I couldn't believe how happy I am with this news. I wouldn't have been this happy if we hadn't been through what we've been through. The struggle has made this triumph that much more incredible. We are one stop closer to being done with the oxygen.
It is a wonderful life! We are grateful to be able to see God's miracles up close and personal, because of our beautiful Bennett.
