Highlights...
Bennett is 10 months old! He can stand up, holding onto things. He loves his stand and play table! He can pull himself up on the bars at the park. He loves graham crackers and shrieking. He can move his hands while standing, but we are working with his therapist to get him to shift weight and move feet. We are still working on getting his very expensive hypoallergenic formula covered and trying to get him into programs that will help him.
Nolan is funny, quirky, infuriating and completely adorable all at once. He loves trains, he loves Thomas. He quotes Thomas the Train often, such as "Jokes are very funny!" and "You are a silly steamie!" It is really cute. He has 3 boxes of trains and a train table. He is kind of restless in sunbeams. He is currently taking a sports class but he's not super interested in following directions and doing the sports...:) He tells us "William is my best friend" but he still tells me I am his best friend too. He has a group of "park friends". We went to Pima County Fair and after crying for an hour because he couldn't ride the train, he had some fun on some rides, including the fun house! I taught preschool this month, and though it was fun to plan and it fulfilled the teaching bug in me, it was tiring and I am glad to be done for little while :).
Brent, Diana, and Emily came to visit for a week and they stayed with us. We went swimming, played lots of games, got street tacos and went on a hike! We had a blast. I wish I had taken more pictures!
Nate, Nicki and their dog F1N1 (Finn...) came to visit. Nolan was scared of Finn, though now that they are gone, he tells me Finn is silly. We went on a hike, saw "Zootopia" and got pedicures.
AND I went to Time Out for Women, had lots of fun! There were 2 speakers that stood out to me: Melissa Parker, a mom of a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and Tim Ballard, a member of the Underground Railroad, the group that saves children from sex trafficking. So inspiring! The music, by Mercy River was great too.
AND my friend Julie moved. To Italy. Sad day for me!
And here's a good ol' selfie because you hardly ever see pics of me anymore!
