Patterns, Dinosaurs, Ocean drawings and Dentists

July/August weren't quite as eventful, which was quite a relief to us because things were insane in June! The highlights were:

*On August 21, we saw the solar eclipse. It was about 50-60% totality. We noticed a change in temperature. We saw the sun being covered by the moon a little, it was pretty neat. Next time, we want to see 100% totality though. It will happen again in 7 years!

* On Labor Day, our friends the Beattys from Utah came to visit us. We had a great time! We went to the clubhouse water park, went to dinner at Cafe Poca Cosa (amazing food!) and watched a movie. The next day, we went to church and went to Saguaro National Park.

*Nolan has gotten into drawing lately. He mostly likes to draw ocean animals. It is really fun to see him develop this skill on his own.

*We are part of a preschool co/op and it is really fun. I am the first one to take a turn to teach this month. I am really enjoying this group of 4 girls 2 boys. They seem to be getting along really well and enjoying the lessons. We use a curriculum called the "Learning Box". It is nice that it lays out everyone for you though you can tweak/add if you want.

*We went to the dentist and Bennett did surprisingly well! He sat and let them mess with his teeth. Nolan did great too!

Others:

This is on Labor Day at Grandma Pat's house.

Nolan has a very funny sense of fashion.  I love it, it is very unique!

We painted Nolan's room! It was a blast.
